10th December 2006 was marked as the human rights day and celebrating the day, NGO's working for the rights of people of Maldives had a rally and music show.
More than 200 people seem to have participated in the rally. Its sasd to see that most of the members were people of the opposition party MDP. General ordinary memebrs of the society may have not been aware due to the lack of advertising in the short period of time they did.
Any how it was a grand effort by the NGo's to hold the first "legal" as they advertised. Big hail to the NGO's

It was amazing to see so many NGO actually caring about something like thuman rights...sad to c big nGOs like SHE and Care Society not taken an interest...keep up NGO!
